You will be spell bound....

One of the greatest authors of life in the wild, un-tamed life of the conquest of this country. A life of raging rivers, unending forests of huge timber, vast prairies...and the men who conquered it all at the risk of their lives. Once you start reading, you can't stop and when you stop reading...it takes a minute or two to come back from the real world to the world you now know. This man can tell you a story that calls to every ounce of your being to jump to the next rolling log in order to break the log jam on the rushing river that carries the logs to the mill. I first found Stewart Edward White in my 20's...reading to the trill of the unknown and un-conquerable. Now 40+ years later...I found his collection from the big timber of the mid-west to the range land that fed this huge and growing country - for my kindle. How excited was I???!!! If you love the efforts of the people that came before you - you will find this collection an escape from the hum-drum of todays' life as you step into the real world of the building of this country by people who seem bigger than life.

Absolutely one of the best writers from the early 1900's

If you have never read Stewart Edward White you are missing one of the GREAT writers of the late 1800-early 1900's . He lived in the time frame and knew many of the subjects of which he bases his novels. His western expansion stories should be a must for anyone who is interested in historic fiction .
