This product is great BUT BEWARE of distributers!

Love the product. Greenberg is knowledgeable and delivers a rather quirky presentation the I found enjoyable. As a music lover I found this a great learning experience.
BUT BEWARE: I made the mistake of ordering through an Amazon seller. Turns out the seller didn't realize the complete set should contain 48 disks (distributed in 6 packages of 8 disks). I was sent only half that many and the seller was unable to provide the rest. I was finally granted a refund but needed Amazon to intervene.
MY SUGGESTION: Order directly from Great Courses but never, ever, pay the standard asking price. Great Courses offers almost all of their material at a 50-70% discount at various times during the year. Just get on their mailing list (or email catalog distribution) and be patient. You'll end up getting a very similar price, cheaper in some cases, and their customer service is amazing!

Geek out with music

I got this for my dad for Christmas and he loved it. He's always wanted to "understand" classical music and this is the most comprehensive guide you can get. It's totally worth the investment. He tells me all about the baroque era now, which is great I guess... :)
